His strong connection to Israel is exemplified by his having volunteered, under the Sar-El program, with the Israeli Army on a base near Be’er Sheva.

In addition, Robbie is one of the founders of Yeshivat Orayta, a Jerusalem yeshiva for high school graduates; and serves on the advisory committee of the Eagles Wings Israel Experience Program, which sends Christian college students to Israel to empower them to become advocates for Israel on their respective campuses and beyond. He is a founding board member of Aleph Beta Academy, an online learning program that is creating a paradigm shift in Jewish education, and, together with his wife, Helene, is a founding member of Kulanu Academy, which offers services to special-needs children and their families.

Robbie and Helene have consistently supported education through funding new text editions of Torah study, prayer and Jewish philosophy, including the recently published Koren Mahzor for Yom Ha’atzmaut and Yom Yerushalayim, as well as several books by Rabbi David Aaron and Rav Dovid Vatch of Jerusalem. Robbie is also currently working with a translator to produce an anthologized and adapted work on the writings of the Maasei Hashem, Rav Eliezer Ashkenazi, on the haggada and the Torah.
